VaultFi is developing a Protection Reserve framework for defined incidents involving VaultFi-controlled systems.

The VaultFi Protection Reserve is not currently funded or active. No customer reimbursement or coverage is currently promised by this framework. It is not insurance, FDIC insurance, SIPC protection, or a government-backed guarantee.

What it is intended for

The proposed framework is intended for specifically defined customer-loss events directly caused by a confirmed failure or compromise of a VaultFi-controlled system.

Final eligibility, exclusions, reserve size and claim procedures will be published only after funding, governance and legal review are complete.

What it is not

It is not protection against crypto market losses.
It is not protection against intentionally authorized transfers.
It is not currently an insurance product.
It is not currently an active reimbursement promise.
It does not replace customer security practices or VaultFi's security controls.

Activation requirements

Before activation, VaultFi intends to complete reserve funding, verification, governance, legal/accounting review, eligibility terms, claim procedures and public disclosure.

VaultFi will not display a funded reserve amount before the underlying reserve assets actually exist and are verifiable.
