VAULTFI BROWSER STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
My Wallets & External Wallets
Understand VaultFi-managed wallets, imported wallets and externally connected wallets.
Step-by-step
- Open My Wallets or type `my wallets`.
- Review the VaultFi-managed wallets and externally connected wallets separately.
- To add a supported external wallet such as MetaMask or Rainbow, choose the external connection mode when available.
- The external wallet is asked to connect and then sign a message proving ownership. That ownership proof is not a crypto transfer.
- VaultFi receives the verified public address, network, wallet brand and connection metadata; normal external connection does not give VaultFi the external wallet's seed phrase or private key.
- For an external Send/Convert/Cashout action, the external wallet remains the signer. Review the action in VaultFi and in the wallet's own approval screen before signing.
- Use Disconnect to remove the external connection from VaultFi Browser when needed.
Important notes
- Never type an external wallet seed phrase/private key into the ordinary VaultFi Browser command bar.
- Imported wallets and externally connected wallets have different signing models; follow the mode shown by My Wallets.
